Literature Text

"My Princess," the Black Prince said as he entered the room.
The had settled in a house in Ombra. If the Prince wasn't with the robbers (who now has proper homes given by Violante), he was with his family.
The Prince put her breakfast on a table beside the bed. The Black Princess loved breakfast in bed. She hadn't got any sleep since Sofia came but she didn't care. This was what every mother goes through. When he entered, she was just feeding their daughter. The baby looked like its mother.
"Do you feel okay?" he asked her as he gave her a spoonful of the soup.
     "Yes, I'm fine." she smiled.
The Prince fed his wife as she fed their child. Now that Sofia had burped, the Black Princess lulled her to sleep.
"Why don't you sing a song for her? I'm sure she's dying to hear your voice. Like me."
She blushed. The Prince always asked her to sing when he couldn't sleep. But instead, she taught him to read. Until now, she never sang for anyone. But today, she decided to sing for her baby and her husband, a song that might be her last.

"Let the sun guide you in day
And may the moon smile on you at night
I hope the stars would give you hope
'Cause there'll always be a day and night

            Yesterday died long ago
Yet Tomorrow is filled with hope
I can see a beautiful rainbow
Promise me you'll cling on the lengthy rope

Now, I hear them calling my name
I'm afraid that I cannot stay
I have to play by the rules of Death's game
Forgive me, but I must go away."
</b>

The Prince raised her chin so their eyes met. "That was a beautiful song and a beautiful voice." and he kissed her.
Then she kissed the little girl's soft forehead. She lay her down on the bed but Sofia held her mother's finger as tightly, as if she knows that she will be gone away forever. So the Black princess hummed her last song once again. Finally, Sofia was in deep sleep and had let go of her finger. She kissed her forehead again. She smiled like she felt she was loved. Then the Black Prince hugged her husband so tightly that he nearly couldn't breathe.
"I must go away now," she whispered to him.
"Where are you going? Sofia and I will come with you."
"No, please, don't follow me this time."
"Hmm, maybe. But where are you going?"
"Back...home." She hesitated saying those words for they were nothing but a lie. She will never be at home without her husband and her daughter. She will only be in Hell without them.
"I love you," she said it again and kissed him. The kiss was really long and passionate. Neither of them would want this moment to end so soon.
Come now, Black Princess, she heard them calling her.
There is no way I'm coming back with you in Hell! she wanted to tell them.
But then, all of a sudden, the Black Prince stripped off her dress. And she was wearing nothing but her underwear under that black dress.
"What was that for?" she picked up her dress and wore it.
"It was loose." he said turning bright red.
Then she remembered that after breastfeeding Sofia, she hadn't sipped up her dress. "I'm sorry. That's my fault." and she said. "And now, where were we? Ah, yes," and she kissed him.
"Now, I must go," she gave him a kiss.
     "Forgive Violante," another kiss.
"Tell Roxane to preserve my body," kiss.
"Sofia will stay with you," kiss.
"Take care of her for me." another long kiss. She would miss this so much. Then she disappeared as if she was never there at all.

Years has passed and Sofia looked very much like the Black Princess. Sometimes it felt like she was never gone. The little Black Princess had her mother's attitudes, her heart, even her voice. And she never asked anything about her mother. As if she didn't care if she even had a mother or not.
But believe it or not, the Black Princess shows herself in her dreams and that's where they talk and Sofia simply believed in her.
And nobody also knew the song the Princess sings for her husband every time he couldn't sleep. And sometimes, the Black Prince would feel his wife sleeping, breathing beside him and he also felt the kisses she drops on his lips.
Yes, believe it or not, the Black Princess may not be around but she was always in their hearts. It felt like she had never gone.
